ABUJA, NIGERIA- The iNews Times| David Oyedepo, founder of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, has shared how an abducted pastor of the church was released after he personally spoke with the kidnappers.
Speaking during a sermon in a viral video, Oyedepo said he issued a 24-hour ultimatum to the abductors when they contacted the church to demand ransom.
According to him, the situation changed immediately after the conversation, leading to the pastor’s release.
The cleric also encouraged members to provide his phone number to kidnappers in similar situations, expressing confidence in what he described as spiritual authority.
He further recounted a separate incident involving a female church member who, he claimed, was freed after invoking his words during her captivity.
The remarks have sparked mixed reactions, coming amid ongoing national concerns over kidnapping and insecurity.
