Elon Musk Regrets Criticizing Donald Trump, Cites Posts as “Going Too Far”

Elon Musk Expresses Regrets Over Remarks About President Trump

Elon Musk and Donald Trump

…Elon Musk’s criticism led to Trump threatening “serious consequences.

The iNews Times reports that in a surprising turn of events, tech billionaire Elon Musk has expressed regret over his recent remarks about US President, Donald Trump.

Elon Musk took to his social media platform X.com to clarify his stance, stating, “I regret some of my posts about President @realDonaldTrump last week. They went too far.”

Musk’s admission comes after a public falling out between him and Trump, sparked by Musk’s harsh criticism of Trump’s “big, beautiful” spending bill.

The bill, which includes extensive tax cuts and increased military spending, has been a point of contention between the two influential figures.

Elon Musk’s criticism of the bill led to Trump threatening “serious consequences” if Musk were to fund primary challenges against Republicans who voted for the legislation.

Trump branded Musk “disrespectful” to the office of the President, stating, “He’ll have to pay very serious consequences if he does that.”

However, Trump refused to elaborate on what those consequences might entail.

The feud between Musk and Trump began when Musk referenced Trump’s past association with late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein in a now-deleted post.

Trump dismissed this as “old news,” claiming he had nothing to do with Epstein.

Musk’s recent criticisms come at a crucial time for Trump’s spending bill, which was narrowly passed in the House of Representatives last month.

Despite being a major financial backer of Trump during last year’s elections, Musk has been vocal about his disapproval of the bill.

The iNews Times reports that in a phone interview with NBC News, Trump clarified that he had no desire to repair ties with Musk, stating, “I would assume so, yeah” when asked if their relationship was over.

Trump also accused Elon Musk of being “disrespectful to the office of the President,” adding that he had no intention of speaking with Musk anytime soon
