…says the FRSC deployment for Soludo inauguration involves strategic placement of officers, operational vehicles to ensure smooth traffic management.

Awka, Nigeria — The iNews Times | The FRSC deployment for Soludo inauguration has begun in Anambra State as the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) mobilised 275 officers and 29 operational vehicles ahead of the second-term inauguration of Governor Chukwuma Soludo and his deputy, Onyekachukwu Ibezim, scheduled for March 17, 2026.

Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in the state, Corps Commander Bridget Asekhauno, disclosed this while addressing officers and personnel of the command during a pre-deployment briefing.

According to her, the FRSC deployment for Soludo inauguration involves strategic placement of 275 officers and men, supported by 29 operational vehicles across different parts of the state to ensure smooth traffic management and safety during the ceremony.

The vehicles deployed include patrol vehicles, motorcycles, ambulances and tow trucks to provide rapid response to emergencies and ensure free vehicular movement.

Asekhauno charged the officers to demonstrate a high level of discipline, professionalism and dedication to duty throughout the operation.

“The Command, in collaboration with other security agencies, has intensified traffic control measures and public sensitisation efforts to ensure peaceful and hitch-free vehicular movement during and after the event,” she said.

She further explained that the FRSC deployment for Soludo inauguration forms part of a coordinated security and traffic management strategy designed to manage the expected influx of dignitaries, government officials and visitors arriving in the state for the inauguration ceremony.

“A total of 275 officers and men, along with 29 vehicles including bikes, ambulances and tow trucks have been deployed across the state,” the sector commander reiterated.

She also appealed to residents, motorists and stakeholders to cooperate with traffic officials and security agencies during the inauguration period.

“The Command urges residents, stakeholders and visitors to remain law-abiding and cooperate with security personnel to ensure the safety of all dignitaries and members of the public,” she said.

The FRSC boss added that traffic officers would be stationed at major junctions, highways and key routes expected to experience heavy movement of vehicles.

She stressed that the FRSC deployment for Soludo inauguration demonstrates the agency’s commitment to ensuring public safety and maintaining orderly traffic during major state events.

“The Sector Commander reiterates the Command’s commitment to providing adequate safety measures and ensuring that the inauguration ceremony is conducted in a peaceful and secure atmosphere,” she added.

The second-term inauguration of Governor Chukwuma Soludo is expected to attract political leaders, government officials, party stakeholders and guests from across Nigeria, making traffic management and public safety a major priority for authorities in Anambra State.

Security agencies and emergency services have been coordinating preparations in the days leading up to the event to guarantee a smooth ceremony and prevent disruptions to normal activities within the state.
